Place all the ingredients into a blender and add 230ml of water. Blend for 1-2 minutes or longer to reach the desired consistency. If you have a weaker blender, you can cut the dates beforehand or soak them in water to soften them. It's always better with soaked dates. Before blending, you can also add vanilla, cinnamon, etc., or a few drops of lemon juice to enhance the flavour.
Before serving, decorate the finished drink with pieces of finely chopped goji or with poppy seeds. Instead of bananas, you can also use almond or other plant milk with one tablespoon of golden flax seeds added. If you like poppy seeds you can experiment with different amounts of ingredients to create a maconade that not only tastes great, but will also satiate you and nourish your body.
